First round of Glin sur Mer Classic

No less than 22 players were unable to complete their first round at t Gin Sur Mer Classic due to the darkness. But many of those who did were able to register low scores.

Leaders at the Tesoror Golf Club in Florida are the Americans Bob Estes and Tommy Armour with 64 strokes (-9). They are followed by fellow American Craig Kanada and Swede Daniel Chopra who are six under par.

Armour decided to end his round and he succeeded to do so by making his birdie putt. This meant that Armour ended his round with three birdies in a row.

Eric Axley didn't have the best round of the pack (77 strokes), but he certainly was the winner of the day. Axley hit a hole in one with his iron 4 at the  Par 3 17th which won him a new Chrysler Sebring cabriolet. It was Axley's 17th hole in one in his life, but the first one which brought him something instead of costing money.
